Catholic Hospice and Palliative Care Presents at AAHPM 2025 in Denver

On February 5-8, 2025, Catholic Hospice and OnePoint Patient Care Pharmacy collaborated to present at the Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) 2025 in Denver, Colorado. The AAHPM is a three-day event bringing together more than 3,400 of hospice and palliative care providers to share research, clinical best practices, and practice-related guidance to help advance the field and improve patient care.

Catholic Hospice team, led by Dr. Angel Sanchez (Associate Medical Director), presented on “Deprescribing and Medication Substitution: Optimizing Pharmacotherapy in Hospice Care.” Our Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program members also presented in collaboration with HCA Florida Aventura on “Homeopathy in the Fight Against Breast Cancer: Hope or Hype?”

As our Medical Director, Dr. Tracy Romanello shared, “We render care, we research, we share, and we grow. Put in on repeat.” Our team is truly dedicated to improving processes and care for our patients. We’re so proud of our Catholic Hospice team for representing us and more importantly, the future of hospice and palliative care!
