WE ARE HIRING: BEREAVEMENT COUNSELORS

Catholic Hospice is seeking qualified candidates for Bereavement Counselors in Miami-Dade!

The Bereavement Counselor is a qualified counselor who is responsible for assessing and providing emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual support and services provided before and after the death of the patient to assist with issues related to grief, loss, and adjusting.

Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• License in Social Work, Mental Health or Marriage and Family Therapy preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social work or counseling position with an emphasis on bereavement preferred.
• Experience working for a foundation or non-profit organization is preferred.
• Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in service areas as required by duties.
